From 3D-printed lamps to Arduino experiments, here are some of the engineering and maker projects I've been working on. Starting with Airfix kits and graduating to a basement woodworking shop, I've always enjoyed building things — now mostly with my students in mind.
A full-scale outdoor lamp post designed in CAD, printed in sections, assembled and installed in the front garden. A great example of thinking big with desktop 3D printing.
Interactive schematic of a TIP31/TIP32 class AB audio amplifier. Animate current paths through a full sine wave cycle and watch live voltages update at each test point.
A one-page student reference for the Rigol DS1102D — front-panel controls, triggering, DC vs AC coupling, and useful measurements for the class AB amplifier project.
